🐾 Dog Doody Duty LLC — Winter & Holiday Newsletter

A Note From Our Team

Winter is here in full force, and as always, we’re committed to keeping your yard as clean and safe as the weather allows. Between freezing temperatures, heavy snow, and short daylight hours, this season brings unique challenges — but our dependability doesn’t change. We appreciate your patience as we navigate conditions that can vary drastically from yard to yard across Central New York.

How Winter Weather Affects Service

Snow and ice can bury or freeze waste deep below the surface, making it unsafe or impossible to remove until a thaw. When this happens, we may postpone visits so that our team can complete a thorough cleanup at the next safe opportunity.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • ❄️ Temporary delays during heavy snow or freeze-ups

  • 🔔 Notifications of any postponements

  • 🧊 A full cleanup once waste is accessible during a thaw

  • 🛡️ Safety-first decision making so technicians aren’t at risk on icy walkways or frozen gates

If your area melts faster than others, please reach out and let us know your yard is accessible — we’ll try to move you up when possible.

Billing Reminder for Winter Thaw Clean-Ups

When several weeks of waste accumulate due to weather, the next visit is billed at the Spring/Winter Clean-Up rate. This is still far more economical than paying weekly or biweekly rates during periods where we cannot physically clean the yard.
If you have a deposit on your account and no history of late payments, it will automatically be applied to your next invoice.

Gate & Yard Access — A Quick Winter Checklist

To help us keep things moving smoothly, please make sure:

  • Gates open fully and latches aren’t frozen

  • Snowbanks are not blocking our entry point

  • Yard pathways are cleared when possible

  • Dogs are brought inside during your service window

This ensures a faster, safer cleanup for everyone.

What’s New at Dog Doody Duty

This winter has been tougher than usual — repeated storms, deep freeze cycles, and uneven melting across the county. Despite that, our team remains committed to staying on schedule as weather allows. We’ll resume normal frequency the moment we have a consistent thaw.

Behind the scenes, we’re improving routing, updating equipment, and preparing for a very busy Spring Clean-Up season.

Holiday Thanks From Our Pack to Yours

We want to take a minute to say thank you. Your support allows our small local business to continue serving the community year after year. We truly enjoy helping you keep your yard clean — and we appreciate the kindness, flexibility, and good humor you've shown during this unpredictable winter weather.
